Barcelona Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
