British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his team members.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
This update on his health comes as the boxing community had expressed condolences for the fighter in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
