Colts Take On Atlanta Falcons in Berlin – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Alles klar I hope on this fine morning kickoff to week 10 coming straight outta Germany. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be exact where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the powerful Indianapolis Colts (7-2) take on the Atlanta Falcons (three wins and five losses). This marks the fifth matchup played on soil in Germany and the first in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the coin toss. A slight fluff from Sky Sports there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the Star Spangled Banner has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. The game is about to start after a choral number for the national anthem of Germany. Classy.

First Quarter Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

And we're off! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right side then fumbles … only for his center to save his bacon with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the excitement continues as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The risk doesn't work out as Josh Downs fails to catch a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a huge hit on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Atlanta's defense started strong as they try and snap their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Score Recap

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The tight end drops a clanger, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only deteriorates for the Falcons as they turn over possession to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. Michael Penix Jr is hunted down and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from Ashton Dulin sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the following play. Kicker Michael Badgley skews the extra point wide. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some substantial catches to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for the running back to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. He completes the drive for a short scoring run of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
